This season, the Australian Cheer Union aims to unite dance studios & cheer gyms, making it easy & beneficial for them to support Team Aus and ACU.
We aim to achieve this by:

Dance Program
To expand our team offerings to include more National teams

Aim to facilitate Australian dance teams to compete in all divisions offered by the ICU at Worlds

Select teams based on interest & ability (National, state, club/studio)

Provide equal opportunities for coaches &athletes from across Australia
To make trainings as effective & accessible as possible

Develop scheduling to reflect the needs of the teams

Keep costs & travel affordable and reasonable

Encourage & facilitate support/cross training to create strong & capable athletes
To facilitate team camaraderie & build connections among coaches, athletes, & families

All Abilities Program
1. Competitiveness
Build teams that are competitive on the floor in the Adaptive Abilities Unified divisions through the skill sets of carefully selected athletes and coaches.
This is to align with the structure and model utilised by other Nations.
2. Ensure Safety and Accessibility
Create a program that is safe, inclusive, and accessible for athletes with impairments.
3. Develop Strong Coaching Teams
Select coaching teams where individual strengths and areas for growth complement one another, fostering collaboration and balanced leadership.
4. Expand Competitive Divisions
Broaden the program to include teams in both the Special Olympics and Special Abilities divisions and ensure there is staff knowledge and experience to support this goal.
5. Strengthen Coaching Experience
Expand the coaching team to include individuals with prior ICU and/or IASF Worlds coaching experience. Education will be a key element to achieving this goal.
6. Inclusive Team Pathways
Provide team options that ensure athletes across Australia can participate in the Team Australia Program regardless of their disabilities.
7. Elite-Level Coach Education
Continue educating and developing coaches to deliver the All-Abilities Program at an elite performance level.
8. Enhance Inclusion Support
Expand the role of the Inclusion Support Officer to provide a wider range of skills and supports, ensuring development opportunities for coaches, athletes, and families.
Cheer Program
1. To Send highly competitive teams to the world championships, and uphold the standards and reputation of team australia cheer on the world stage
2. Continue to build on and amend the structures, Processes and Systems to improve team Australia cheer for the future
3. Open and relevant communication within Team Australia and the wider Cheerleading Community
