ACU OPENS RECRUITMENT FOR TEAM AUSTRALIA 2027 HIGH PERFORMANCE PROGRAM

The Australian Cheer Union (ACU) has opened applications for a range of coaching and support positions within the ACU High Performance Program – Team Australia 2027, as preparations begin for the 2027 ICU World Championships in Orlando, USA.

The recruitment process forms part of the continued development of the ACU’s High Performance Program, which brings together Australia’s elite Cheer, Dance and All Abilities programs under the Team Australia banner.

With new management now in place, the ACU is building the team that will support Australian athletes throughout the 2027 program, including preparation, camps, competition and the journey to the ICU World Championships.

A number of coaching and support positions are now available, with opportunities suited to experienced coaches, technical specialists and professionals with skills across areas such as athlete support, wellbeing, administration and program operations.

ACU High Performance Program Director Ali Cole said the recruitment process is an important step in building a strong and unified program for 2027.

“We’re excited to open applications and begin building the team behind Team Australia for 2027. There is a huge amount of experience and talent within our Australian community, and we’re looking for people who want to contribute that expertise to supporting our athletes on the world stage.”

The available positions are volunteer-based and will form part of the broader Team Australia 2027 workforce. Applicants will be assessed through the ACU High Performance Program recruitment and selection process, with program-specific recruitment to follow.
